Bone Scan Clinics

Calcium and other minerals help keep our bones strong and resistant to fractures. Unfortunately, as we age, our bones may begin to leech these minerals and become brittle and fragile. You’ve probably heard this condition referred to as osteoporosis.

Bone health is often silent so many people don’t realize they’ve developed osteoporosis until they’ve broken a bone. A bone mineral density scan is the only way to test for osteoporosis before a fracture occurs.

As part of our advocacy for a greater focus on preventative health measures, CEO of Your Health hosts bone scan clinics to help Canadians proactively monitor their bone health.

Our bone scan clinics use the revolutionary EcholightS Scan technology that has become widely used in Europe. Echolight has several advantages over traditional DXA scans, including:

Radiation free
REMS Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry Bone Scans
Quicker
produces an automated report within minutes.
Mobile
Ability to reach patients all across the country in a wide range of settings such as in-home events, retirement homes, clinics, workplaces, conferences and mobile clinics.
More accurate
Calculates both bone mineral density and a Fragility Risk Fracture score, a measure of bone quality or bone strength which is not provided with most DXA scans.

By bringing bone scans to Canadians, we hope to make more people aware of their bone status and connect them with evidence, informed education, options, and resources about how to slow done the progression of bone loss or prevent fractures and lead healthy, active lives for many years to come.
